Grabbing life with both hands

Life’s just a bowl of cherries!

I borrowed that title from Annabel Fisher, a lovely EFTer who after 3 years treatment for recurring cancer has decided to stop treatment and grab life with both hands, for the time she has left. She’s such an inspiration.

Wouldn’t life be extraordinary if we could allow ourselves to do that right now, rather than at the end of our life? I’ve been reminded of the importance of that, the last couple of years. First my mother and cousin died and this year, my father in law and my brother. It made me really focus on life in the moment and what’s really important to me. There are so many “shoulds” we’re brought up to believe in, so many dutiful things to do, that we often let our own dreams and desires go. We think we’ll pick them up at some time in the future, when we’ve done all the things we think we “ought” to do first. And let me tell you, no matter how many of those things you do, the list never gets any smaller. There’s always more to do, before you can get to your own stuff.

And of course, what I find for myself, is that I’m not always sure what I really want. I’ve got so used to shutting those thoughts and feelings off, putting things onto the back burner, not thinking what I might want to do/be/create, in case I get resentful, that even when I give myself space, I find myself standing there wondering what I’m supposed to do!!

Mum lived a long and full life and I know there were many things she didn’t allow herself to do, because she didn’t think it would be ok, she wasn’t sure what people would think. My brother, I’m realising now, did much more of the things he wanted, travelling, creating a business and finally, buying himself the wood that he’d wanted since a child. He had a whole year in it, with a glorious summer and I’m so happy that he did that, as it would have been so easy for him to have put it off. (Procrastination was the family game:) )

As for me, I finally allowed myself to dream and live the dream for several years and then I noticed I was slowly closing down, allowing myself to get smaller and less adventurous, to “settle” for what I thought was possible, or achievable, rather than really be my out there self. It’s been a journey, watching myself, noticing what I was doing, tapping, tapping, tapping and as always, this is a journey, not a pass and fail and I’m part way along it. I’m in a very comfortable position right now, with a house and garden that I love, ( I had no idea that would be so important to me:) ) and I’ve had a breathing space, time to balance after all the loss and change. I have no idea at the moment, what’s next and I do know, listening to myself and what makes me feel good, what lights me up, is my inner guidance system and I’m practising listening to it much more than I ever have.

This is the beginning of the rest of my life and I intend to grab it with both hands and also to know that doesn’t necessarily mean I have to rush around doing things. When I’m in the garden, watching the flowers growing, looking at the flames of the fire, watching the hedgehog, I’m present. I’m really living in the moment, living my life. Thats what I want more of, being present to what is. knowing I’m happy, in the moment, rather than remembering that I was happy, when I look back!

I invite you to take some time to tune in to what makes you happy in the moment, because those moments are all we know we have. The more we do that, the greater the sum of happiness we feel.

If you’d like some support in tuning into what’s important to you, allowing yourself to dream, I’m running a one day retreat called Manifesting – turning your dreams into reality, on 8th September. (Because we always teach what we need to learn, don’t we:) )  I’d love you to join me and lets see what we can create together:)

Hi Folks,

I hope you’re all coping with this extraordinary summer weather? Here in the UK we have had sunshine and no rain for over 2 months now. for a country that hopes for the sun every summer, in the middle of our wet and grey days, it’s extraordinary! The last time we had a summer like this was 1976. I’m torn between the desire for rain, for the garden and the farmers and the delight in sunshine and not having to carry umbrellas, jumpers and coats with us, which is our usual summer employment:) We had 1 day of rain here a couple of weeks ago and I don’t think I’m the only one that stood outside and danced in it:) There’s a part of me wondering if I manifested a proper summer as I really wanted one:)

It has, however, allowed me to manifest the time out that I’ve been wanting. The time to just be and to think and to focus on each moment and really live it. It’s been too hot to do anything. Too hot to sit at the computer, too hot to rush around and fill my days with doing, too hot even to plan and consider what I want to manifest:)

At the hottest part of the day, I’ve allowed myself to lie in the shade on my swing and doze and watch butterflies and bees. I’ve gardened in the evening or early morning and realised just how much I can achieve a small bit at a time and that when I’m not beating myself up and “shoulding” on myself, life is so much more enjoyable. I think I needed to let go of old habits and patterns to really experience what life is like without them …..and it’s good:)

I’m remembering yet again that we are powerful manifesters, and when we get clear about what we want in our lives and how we want to feel, attracting that into our lives, is easy. And of course, if it’s not easy, it just means there’s a part of us not on board with the changes we want and that’s tappable:)

The retreat in Slovenia this year was about manifesting and boy did we have fun! You’d have been amazed at the old beliefs that we were all harbouring and of course, most of those beliefs weren’t ours in the first place, they came down the family line. I’m so grateful for the group, who went into the exploration so wholeheartedly. We discovered and cleared so much in the time we were together and we could see how much things had changed and how much clearer we were about what we wanted.

It was such a profound time that I decided that I’d like to share what we did with others, so I’ve created a day retreat, Manifesting – creating the life of your dreams where we’ll be in a lovely venue, with lunch provided, as we clear all those old beliefs that that get in our way and prevent us from even being clear about what we’d like to manifest. We’ll clear all the stuff that’s come down through the family, anything we’re carrying from past lives and then we’ll get really clear about what we want to manifest in our lives and give our subconscious a guidance system to follow, to help us create the life we want to live.

I’m very excited about it as I know the possibilities that we’ll create. if you feel excited too, I’d love you to come and join us.

Meanwhile, enjoy whatever your summer (or winter) is bringing. tune into your life, take time to celebrate all those precious moments, however small and know that you are in charge, it’s your life and you have the right to create it as you’d like it to be, anything other than that, is tappable:) Happy tapping and I hope to see you soon:)

With love from Jacqui

“Yes but’s” and “What if’s”

Following on from the last blog I promised you a follow up video on clearing all the “Yes but’s” and “What if’s.”
Whenever you clear something and the change is likely to take you out of your comfort zone, these pesky things pop up. They’re something to be celebrated, because they are the things that younger parts of you are worried about. Once you know that, you know what to tap on next:) Why not use this video to tap along with me to get you started and see what useful information those young parts of you will share with you? Even if you’ve not just done a big change, you may find some interesting “Yes but’s” and “What if’s.”popping up. Happy Tapping:)

And if you’d like to work with me to clear anything that comes up please check out my website for details:)

Lying on your back, looking at clouds is a great idea!

When did you last do that?

How do you think you would feel, watching as they change with every breath of the wind?

There’s no space to think about your to do list, no space for all your “shoulds.”

It’s time out – a breathing space. It’s so easy – you can do it any time, any where. The right clothes, and this stress buster is yours!

I spent some of last weekend watching a blizzard, feeling the snowflakes on my cheeks as the clouds tore past. It was magical 🙂

You’ll find your breathing changes, things slow down and when you get up to return to “real” life you’ll feel more relaxed, refreshed and just that little bit more connected to the “big picture.”

It’s a bit like using EFT isn’t it:)

Why not try it and let me know how you like it? It could be the start of something big 🙂

Much love and big hugs to you all:) Jacqui

Spring Cleaning!

Welcome to Spring, a time of renewal, rebirth and growth.

It’s such an exciting time, every time I go out, there’s something different blooming and something has already bloomed and faded.

It’s no co-incidence that people spring clean, the energy is all about getting rid of the old, the “stuff” we’ve been holding onto and looking forward to what we want to create, how bright and shiny we want ourselves and our lives to be.

It’s been a magnificent spring here, because we’ve had sunshine and less rain than usual, so everything has taken the chance of growing, blooming, being out in the world and then  we had a frost and the apple blossom which was so magnificent turned brown on the top.

And that’s what can sometimes happen to us too. We are in a good space, we dare to grow, to bloom, to show the world who we are and then something happens that “damages” us. That feels as though it hurts or harms us and we wonder if the growing and blooming was a mistake. Should we have protected ourselves better? Should we have stayed small and hidden, would it have been safer?

And yet, the apple tree has already shown the world it’s magnificence, it’s added to the joy. It will continue to grow, it’ll still have fruit, even if it’s less, but the blooming was worth it and how could it not have done that, it’s what it’s here for.

And it’s the same for us. We’re here to grow and bloom and share who we are with the world. To add to the joy of the world and when the knockbacks come, as they will, remember, it’s still safe to shine, to be our glorious selves and anything that tells us different is just the younger parts of us that were hurt when they were young and who chose the only way they could see, to stay safe, probably because their parents did that, and their parents, parents right back through time.

Remember it’s not what happens to us that causes us problems, it’s the meanings we make of the feelings that are created and the one thing we can really be in control of is our feelings and the meanings we give them:)

So, if life is feeling a bit difficult right now, if you weren’t carrying your own old “stuff” and your families old “stuff”, if you’d had an emotional spring clean and you were looking at your now with clean, clear, fresh eyes, how would you choose to be seeing yourself? How would you be choosing to see the situation?

And remind your self you have the right and the ability, to decide what’s the most helpful way for you to see things and yourself and you can do that. It’s not only the best gift you can give to yourself, it’s the best gift you can give the world, because you’re adding love and joy to the world, which can be borrowed by anyone who needs it. Much more useful than wallowing in all the old feelings that we’re so familiar with and still, have compassion for yourself feeling those old feelings and give yourself permission to acknowledge them and let them go, they’ve served their purpose, they got you here and you’re here now and it’s finally safe to do things differently, that’s what tapping’s for:) !!!

If you fancy a spring clean, here’s a youtube video to guide you. Happy tapping:)

And of course if you want a really good, in depth clear out, you can book a session with me, I’m an expert at spring cleaning:)

Put the big rocks in first!

Hi Folks,

I hope you’re enjoying the wonderful summer? Here in the UK, we’ve actually been having a summer after so many months of grey and wet. It’s been wonderful spending so much time out in the garden, swimming in lakes and the sea.

Yesterday was especially beautiful, warm, without humidity and I could feel my spirit was so uplifted, until I remembered all the work I’d planned to do that day! I was going to write the blog, try out facebook live streaming, look at my book and yet what I really wanted to do was to lie on the swing under an umbrella and watch the world go by.

Eventually after doing nothing and not enjoying it because of the “shoulds,” I decided to gift myself the day to enjoy as it felt good to me.

So I lay on the swing, with the bees buzzing above my head in the flowers. I listened to the trickling of the fountain, the sound of the buzzards circling over head. I got up and watched the bees in the lavender, it seems bumble bees like lavender and knapweed and honey bees prefer geranium and codlins and cream, who knew? I certainly didn’t until I gave myself time to watch the small things going on around me. So many butterflies, peacocks, tortoiseshells, a red admiral and of course so many whites. I even saw a speckled wood for the first time:)

It was such a satisfying afternoon, topped off with a lovely client session and a swim in the nearby lake.

The extra reward was waking up today with rain hammering down. If I’d put off that gentle time, I’d have missed it.

How many times do you do that? Put off the things that you really want to do, that light you up, until you’ve done the mundane, boring things?

We were talking about work life balance in network a couple of days ago and I was reminded of this story.

A business coach was working with a client on work life balance.

He had a jar on his desk and water and a pile of sand and gravel and some rocks, then he got the client to fill the jar with the water.  “can you get any of the sand, gravel or rocks in now?” he asked. As soon as the client tried, the jar overflowed and everything got very messy:)

He put another large jar on the table and asked if he could fill it with the rocks that were on the table. The client filled the jar to the top with the rocks and when the coach said is the jar full now, the client said yes.

The coach then pointed to a pile of gravel, do you think you could get any of that in the jar? And of course he could, because the small stones fitted around the big rocks and filled the spaces.

Is the jar full now? Of course!

The coach pointed to a pile of sand, could you fit any of that in? And he could, the small specks of sand filled any tiny left over spaces.

The client smiled and said finally, it’s full. Then the coach poured in the water to fill it to the brim.

These things represent your life. The rocks are the things that are really important to you, your family, friends, health. The other things are those that are less important. You can see that if you want to fit into your life the things that are the most important, you have to start with them, then you add other things in order of importance and you find it all fits in. When you fill your life with the unimportant “busy “ stuff, there’s no room for what really matters. Put that play day in the diary now!!:)

I’ll be doing some facebook live sessions shortly and I’d love to know if you have any questions you’d like me to answer. I’ll send out a reminder of times on the newsletter and if you come up with something you’d like me to talk about, or answer questions on, please email me at and I’ll look forward to saying hi to you then:)

Meanwhile, enjoy the summer, whatever the weather and be kind to yourself, do the things that make you feel good first, then you’ll be in a better place to do the rest:)

My next series of EFT Expert trainings. teaching the cutting edge techniques, that no one else is, starts on 17th September.

If you’d like to upgrade your EFT skills and  become even more of an EFT expert, I’d love you to join me and this small group of lovely people for an intensive learning and clearing experience:)

Being kind to yourself:)

Hi Folks,

I hope you’re enjoying spring:) It’s beautiful here right now, everything is so green and growing and the garden’s looking wonderful. Lots of red and blackcurrants on the way. I wonder if I’ll get them before the birds this time:)

IMG_1512Here in Leicester, we’ve had exciting times. You may have seen that our football team have won the Premier league for the first time in history, against all the odds. I’ve had some very excited sons. I think part of the reason may be the clearing of negative energy that my friend Jean did for the stadium and the area around it, last year:) And it seems part of the reason is the way the manager deals with them. He’s so supportive and if things go wrong, he acknowledges it and they learn and move on. Just what we tell our clients to do:)

Do you remember to do that for yourself? How different would your life be if you could accept, as David Hamilton says, “you can only do it right.” So you learn from the things that happen and then move on. When we get into trouble with ourselves it’s usually because we’re not moving on. We’re holding on to the “stuff” that caused a problem for us and we’re making it mean someone’s at fault, either ourselves, or someone else.

I’ve been really good at doing that in the past and I’m mostly doing it differently now I’m glad to say:)

Here’s a tapalong on being kind to yourself, allowing yourself to me the authentic you.

I’m just back from Slovenija where I had a lovely time again. The one day workshop on IMG_4589Money programs went well and the 4 day Bled retreat was lovely, with a great group who were so ready to move forward. It was a joy to work with them.

We even managed to change the weather. It was forecast to rain heavily for the whole of the retreat, and we managed to persuade it to only rain for 1 afternoon! Ljubliana had the whole 4 days of heavy rain! It’s amazing what you can do with intention. When you’re really clear what you want and all parts of you are in agreement, the universe moves things around to support you.

If you’re not finding it easy to be kind to yourself, or you’re not manifesting your life in the way that you’d like it to be, there are always things you can do about it.

When you can see it as just information, letting you know that you’re not completely in alignment, that some part or parts of you are scared, then you can use your tapping tools to reassure the scared parts and get yourself back to your authentic self. That’s where you’re safest, that’s when life becomes a joy.

If you need a helping hand with any of that, why not email me and set up a session? Working with yourself is great and sometimes, working with someone else, an observer, can speed things up for you. It’s what I do when I have something big I want to clear. It’s not cheating, as I used to think, it’s a valuable way of taking care of yourself:)

whatever you’re up to, have a happy Spring and may you use the energy of growth to grow yourself into more of who you are than you’ve been before:)

Someone’s eaten my Violets! And Grow your own business workshop

Hi Folks,

Springs sprung here in the UK. It’s a beautiful day and before I started to work outside I had a meander round the garden. I was surprised that the violets hadn’t appeared yet, so I got right down to see if I could find any flowers and what I found were the remains of flowers! Someone’s been snacking on them. I have no idea who, though I wonder if it’s the same someone who grazed my Brazen Hussy celandines to the ground, leaves, flowers and all.

There are always compensations though. I’m watching pairs of newts swimming in the pond and I have bees hovering around me, Maybe they think I’m a flower.)

It’s such a lovely day. I had decided to go for a walk and then work in a café and then I allowed myself to decide to stay in the garden and enjoy it while the weathers fine. I’ve recently been doing a lot of work on my need to do what I’ve said I’ll do, whether it makes sense or not!

I think it probably goes back to childhood and having to say where I was going when I went out, and maybe to dad wanting to make sure that I didn’t let anyone down and that I kept my word. All good things in their place, but with the understanding of a child I’ve obviously created my own rules about it and I’ve been sticking to them come hell or high water!

I noticed just how often I was doing things that I no longer wanted to do, because I’d said I would. These are not things that affect anyone else you understand, I’m not talking about letting people down. Things like I’d decided to go for a walk in a particular place and then I thought of somewhere I’d prefer to walk and still went to the first place because I’d said, (to myself!!) that I would. Last week I’d signed up for a walking network which I was looking forward to. I woke up with a streaming cold and still got out of bed at a ridiculous time and set off. I tapped on the way and realised that it was ok not to go. No one would be hurt, no one would judge me, this was my stuff and I could deal with it! I went back to bed:)

It appears to be a small thing, but it impacts on all sorts of areas in my life and definitely disempowers me. It means that I don’t listen to myself, I over ride what I’m feeling and that’s not helpful.

We all have things like this going on for us. Decisions that we made when we were too young to have the understanding or the information we needed, so I thought I’d create      a tapalong to release the rules that we created for ourselves that are no longer for our highest good.

Some of those rules and decisions we made can be affecting our life and our businesses.

If you’re finding that you’re not being as successful as you’d like to be in any area of your life, there’s always a reason that feels good to part of you.

I’m running a one day workshop on 20th April

Grow your own business

And if you’re ready to free yourself form the limitations you’ve created, or others have helped you to create, I’d love you to join me.

If you always find yourself short of money or clients,

If you attract new clients and old ones leave,

If you attract money and then an unexpected bill arrives,

If you always earn so much and no more, however hard you work, i

If you’re wanting to make changes in the business and you don’t know how and you have no clarity,

There is always a good reason for it and in this workshop we’ll explore why.

We’ll clear all the old ancestral and family beliefs that you’ve inheritd.

Then we’ll explore what’s going on for you and clear it so that you leave feeling clearer and inspired to do things differently.

If you’re ready to move life to another level, please come and join me. We’ll have a lot of fun while we clear the unwanted “stuff” away.

With love from

Happy Belated New Year to you all.

As I always do, I took the opportunity of New Year to look back over the past year and forward to 2016 and this year, for a change, I actually noticed and acknowledged just how far I’d come!

I don’t know about you, but I’m great at focusing on what’s not working and what I don’t think I’ve done well and the things I’m not happy about, about myself and the world and much less good at focusing on what’s worked, what I liked, what I’m happy about!

I’m great at getting clients and trainees to see the good things, just not so good at doing it myself:))

This year I made a conscious decision to do it differently and it was amazing. I could see how much I’d achieved, I could see the life I’d created and I could see how I’d grown. It felt so empowering. If I could do that, in 2015, I could do even more in 2016 and that felt really positive. It was a great start to the year.

As I considered what I wanted to achieve in 2016 what I found was that I didn’t want to set practical targets. I didn’t want to make decisions of what I would do with the business, what courses I would offer, I was most interested in my feelings and how I wanted to feel about myself and the world. There was a real sense that when I felt good, I’d be open to new opportunities and that they would be easy and things would flow, so long as I was in a good space.

So I started focusing on how I was feeling when I thought about what I was doing. I made decisions based on the feelings and it led to a lot more me time, a lot of moving gently and slowly through the days, than I would normally allow myself.

I was amazed at the lack of stress and how little time it took me to do things when I decided to do them. When I hadn’t been thinking of doing something and then resisting doing it, for days, the energy was there to get going and things took no time at all.

I had to do a lot of tapping as I went along. Parts were in panic because they weren’t being asked to rush around, they told me it wouldn’t work, I wasn’t being a good girl, I’d get into trouble, all the old voices saying all the old stuff and it was so good just to go in and love those frightened parts until they felt safe. As always, it’s all about safety.

So the result of all of this is a relaxed Jacqui who feels more trusting of the universe and herself:) and who allowed herself not to post anything till it felt right and already new ideas are percolating.

The first is a Celebration day. I would love to offer you a day where you can come together and celebrate who you are and what already works in your life and then to use that energy to focus on the coming year and the rest of your life:)

You’ll get into contact with the feelings that are good for you. Find the things that light you up, help you to feel confident and empowered, open you to new magnificent possibilities.

You’ll leave with a guidance system to help you create your life, as you’d like it to be and then we celebrate the year to come and envision the fun, the joy, the glory, the excitement that will be there for us.

If you’d like 2016 to be the most magnificent yet, please come and join me at a live workshop and there will be an online version for those not in the UK starting on 29th March.

I wish you a glorious year, full of fun and laughter and joy and peace and excitement and wonder.

And if you’d like to set that in motion with me, please come and have fun with me and a lovely group of people on 26th March:)

And if you’re not able to come to the workshop, there’s an online program running over 3 weeks from 29th March.

Meanwhile, here’s a tapalong on celebrating who you are

Coming home to yourself – Reconnecting to those missing parts!

A reminder that the content of the blog and the newsletter is the same, no need to read both:)

Hi Folks,

This blog/newsletter is all about parts this week. They are such an important part of us and of the work we do with our clients.

I hope you’re enjoying Autumn? We are having wonderful colours here in the UK, probably because of the warm summer and I’m so enjoying being out in the colour, smelling that unique Autumn smell. I’m sure I can tell which season it is with my eyes closed, just because of the smell, the child part of me just loves jumping in leavers and collecting conkers and acorns. I always have a plate of autumn leaves and berries on my desk at this time of year, it reminds me of how magical this world is:)

I’ve just had a lovely week with a friend from the States, visiting beautiful places, tapping as we travelled.:) This is me in Eton, by the river. IMG_3922

I feel so lucky living this life I’ve created. I get to have fun with friends and then I get to have fun with work, a win/win situation:) (and the part that thinks it’s not OK to have so much fun, I send love and acceptance to and it settles down and allows me to have my fun! )

This week I’m planning for the rest of the year. I’ve just done a video on Coming Home to yourself – Reconnecting with the missing parts of you, which is the title of my Presentation at the EFT Gathering in York, 30/31st January.

I’m really looking forward to it as EFT Gatherings are very special. It’s a wonderful community and I get to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, even while I’m finding out what people are doing with their EFT. It’s a great source of inspiration, (and hugs:) ) All my inner children are jumping up and down just at the thought of it:)

This weekend I’m going on a Samhain retreat in deepest darkest Lancashire. I’m wondering if the outdoor compost loos will be as much fun in November as they were in May! I think I’ll have to work on a reframe for that somehow. Something to encourage the part of me that would much rather the loo was in the warm cabin.

Then on the 7th November it’s my ever popular workshop   P1020737

Working with Parts and the Inner child.

Those who have seen me work, or watched my videos will know that this is an integral part of the way I work. It makes such a difference to results for clients and it can be integrated so easily, in a conversational way that allows the client to be in an empowered place, to make changes.

If you’d like to explore this work in depth and clear your own deep “stuff” come and join the group on the 7th November. You’ll have a lot of fun while you clear and you’ll get to reconnect to all those younger parts of you that need some love and understanding.:)

And on the grandchild front, s/he is in position and the room is ready. I’ve finished the rabbit I was knitting and nearly finished the blanket, so any time now!! The due date is 6th November, but you know babies, they have a will of their own:)IMG_3928

Have a wonderful week, whatever your parts are up to and I hope we get to connect soon:)

With love from Jacqui
